We love judges-in-training, so Novice and Provisional Judges are welcome in our competition. All non-BJCP ranked judges will be paired with a BJCP-ranked judge.

A Judge Training Session designed to instruct novice judges in the completion of the Beer Score Sheet may be held, schedules permitting, during the week or two prior to the Festival. Attendance is encouraged for non-BJCP judges, even if you have prior judging experience. The thoroughness and quality of written feedback given to entrants on the Beer Score Sheet is important to entrants, and to us.

Stewards provide the magic that makes any competition run smoothly. They help the Organizers and Judges with beer, supplies, double-checking score sheets, and keeping the judging area clean and free of distractions.

The perks of volunteering for our competition are many:

• All Judges, Stewards and Staff will receive complimentary breakfast and lunch.
• Judges and Stewards receive free admission to the Festival.
• Judges enter the competition at a discounted entry fee.
